
The Department of Natural Sciences was established in 2024 following the merger of the Department of Natural Sciences and Teaching Methodologies with the Department of Ecology, Geography and Chemistry. It is a constituent part of the Faculty of Psychology and Natural Sciences at Rivne State University of the Humanities.
As a degree-granting department, it provides professional training in the following specialties:
A4.15 Secondary Education (Natural Sciences), A4.07 Secondary Education (Geography), A4.05 Secondary Education (Biology and Human Health), A4.06 Secondary Education (Chemistry) of the first level of higher education and E2- Ecology of the first and second levels of higher education.
The department’s mission is to provide high-quality training for future educators in the natural sciences, physics, chemistry, biology, and geography, as well as for specialists in ecology.

- Supplying students with updated textbooks and methodological materials.
- Developing the scientific and pedagogical potential of the faculty.
- Advancing the professional development of teaching staff.

- "Act for Health" Project: K. Pavelkiv.
- Prof. A.V. Lysytsia: Involved in Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, NATO, STCU, and Euratom initiatives; recipient of the Vision Grant (ID# 10051513) from the Spencer Foundation (USA).

VII. International Guest Lectures
We actively foster partnerships with international HEIs. Notably, on November 11, 2025, a guest lecture was held by Oksana Valchuk-Orkusha, Doctor Habilitated (Earth Sciences) at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland) and geography teacher at the Da Vinci School and TEB Lyceum in Poznań. The lecture was titled 'Methodological Innovations in Geography Teaching: Polish Experience for Ukrainian Schools.'"
